Project Statuses Explained
Welcome to our detailed guide on construction project statuses! Here you will find a step-by-step explanation of each status your project may have. This guide helps you understand exactly where we are in your project journey in Florida. We include examples for clarity, and a friendly reminder: sometimes, due to workload or system updates, your project status in the CRM may not reflect the current stage. If you feel your project has passed a stage or you need confirmation, please submit a support ticket or send us a message to verify the true status.
1. Lead / Contacted
This is the very first step! We've received your request and have made initial contact. For example, you called us about a new roof, and we confirmed your details and scheduled a first discussion.
2. Site Visit Scheduled
We've scheduled a visit to your property to evaluate the scope of work. For instance, we plan to measure the windows before quoting for replacement.
3. Site Visit Completed
Our team visited your site and gathered allthe necessary information. Now we understand the property conditions and are ready to discuss design options.
4. Design Discussion
We are actively discussing the design options with you. This includes colors, materials, or layouts. Example: deciding on the type of tiles for a bathroom remodel.
5. Drawings Pending
The construction drawings are being prepared by our architects or engineers. Nothing is finalized yet, but we are working on the first draft.
6. Drawings Submitted
The drawings have been submitted for your review. Example: we sent the kitchen renovation plan showing all measurements and appliance placements.
7. Drawings Approved
All plans have been reviewed and approved by you and/or our engineer. We are officially ready to move forward.
8. Estimate / Proposal Sent
We have sent you a detailed cost estimate or proposal. Example: a quote for installing new gutters with materials and labor breakdown.
9. Estimate Approved / Contract Signed
You have approved the proposal and signed the contract. This step locks the price and timeline.
10. Permits Pending
We are applying for all necessary permits (N, C, HOA approvals, city permits). No construction until permits are approved.
11. Permits Approved
All required permits are now approved. We are officially allowed to begin construction!
12. Materials Ordered
All materials for the project are ordered and on their way. Example: lumber, roofing tiles, paint, or plumbing fixtures.
13. Scheduled / Mobilization
The project start date is set, and our team is ready to mobilize equipment and crew to your site.
14. Construction Started
Actual construction begins! Example: demolition of old roof starts today, or we start installing new flooring.
15. Inspection Scheduled
Inspections (electrical, plumbing, city) are scheduled as required by law. Example: a city inspector will visit to check the new wiring.
16. Inspection Passed
Inspections have been successfully passed. Everything is up to code. Example: the city approved the new electrical installation.
17. On Hold
The project is temporarily paused. Could be due to client decision, weather, or material delays.
18. Final Touch / Finishing
We are doing final touches: painting, cleaning, and minor adjustments. Example: installing final door knobs or finishing trim.
19. Walkthrough / Client Review
We do a walkthrough with you to ensure satisfaction. Any minor fixes are noted and completed promptly.
20. Completed
The project is officially finished and ready for your use!
21. Closed / Archived
All documentation is completed, photos stored, and the project is archived in our system.
22. Canceled
The project was canceled before completion. Example: the client changed their mind or unforeseen issues arose.
23. In Legal
The project is under legal review, perhaps due to disputes or permit issues. We aim to resolve as quickly as possible.
24. Not Started Yet
The project is approved but has not started. Everything is ready and waiting for the start date.
